# HK Softworks

> HK Softworks AB (org.nr 556972-3934, Dalsjöfors, Sweden) is a Swedish software company. We build our own Apple and web products, and we take on client work across iOS, Mac, web, APIs and cloud operations. We are not hksoftworks.com.

Products are the strongest public path into the company, and Swiftflip is the one available on the App Store today. Services stay a substantial part of the work. Everything we ship is built around private defaults, careful interfaces and dependable releases.

## Swiftflip

> Swiftflip is a private spaced-repetition flashcard app for Apple devices (App Store id 6746496551), published by HK Softworks AB. It is not SwiftFlip, the real-estate product. It syncs through iCloud with no account and works on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch.

### Key facts

- Current App Store version: 1.17.0, released 2026-08-19.
- Platforms: iPhone (iOS 26+), iPad (iPadOS 26+), Mac (macOS 26+) and Apple Watch (watchOS 26+).
- Price: free for unlimited decks, cards and core practice. Premium adds Smart Decks, Folders, AI generation, custom icons and full Insights as a monthly, yearly or lifetime purchase.
- Privacy: no account, no ads and no tracking. Sync uses private iCloud. On-device AI generation keeps card content on the device; Cloud AI sends card text to HK Softworks and OpenAI only while it is the selected engine.
- Import and export: import Anki .apkg and .colpkg files and CSV files, including review progress when Anki's data is complete. Export a Swiftflip Archive or a CSV.
- Cards: images, up to 30 seconds of audio per side and rich text with links.
- Practice: spaced repetition, optional two-direction reviews per deck, Custom Practice sessions, Pause Reviews for a card or deck and quick reviews on Apple Watch.
- AI: generate a starter deck from a topic. Cloud AI is the default Premium engine on iPhone and iPad, and on-device Apple Intelligence stays available there and on Mac.
- Widgets: Due Now, Deck Queue and Week Rhythm on iPhone, iPad and Mac, plus a Due Cards complication on Apple Watch.

### Added in Swiftflip 1.17

These are in the current App Store build, version 1.17.0:

- Pause Reviews sets a card or a whole deck aside. It stays in the library, keeps its schedule and drops out of due counts, practice, reminders and widgets until you resume.
- Search can filter the library to paused cards.
- Anki import preserves or estimates review progress from each card's ease factor. Parked cards stay. Filtered cards return to their home deck.
- Suspended Anki cards can import as paused, with their review schedule, or be left out.
- Card Insights shows memory, review history and what comes next for each card. Included with Premium, with rebuilt deck and folder insights.

> Seyvd is an encrypted Mac backup app for storage you control. It supports S3-compatible services, local folders and file-level restore.

## Swiftflip FAQs

### Pricing

- **Is Swiftflip free?** Yes. Unlimited decks and cards, spaced repetition, imports and exports are free. Premium adds Smart Decks, Folders, custom icons, AI generation and full Insights.
- **How do subscriptions work?** Premium is available as monthly, yearly or one-time lifetime through the App Store. Manage or cancel from Settings. If a subscription ends you keep all your decks and cards, but Smart Decks, Folders, AI generation, custom icons and full Insights pause until you resubscribe.
- **I don't like subscriptions. Can I still get premium?** Yes. We offer a one-time lifetime purchase that unlocks all premium features forever. No recurring payments. Pay once and you are done.

### Privacy and data

- **What data leaves the device?** Decks and progress stay on your devices and in your private iCloud. We do not run an account system. Cloud AI, the default Premium engine on iPhone and iPad, sends card text to our servers and on to OpenAI. Swiftflip asks before the first request, and Settings can switch back to on-device generation. We do not store the card text. The privacy policy describes what Cloud AI sends and what we keep.
- **How does sync work?** Sync uses iCloud to keep decks and progress up to date across iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch. No separate account is required.
- **Can I export my data?** Yes. Export to standard formats anytime. Import your exports into other apps or back into Swiftflip. No lock-in. Your data is yours.
- **Can I back up my decks?** Yes. Export your decks to create backup files you can store anywhere. Import them back into Swiftflip or use them in other apps. Your data is portable and never locked in.
- **What if I accidentally delete something?** Recently Deleted keeps your decks, cards and folders for 30 days. Restore anything you removed by mistake.
